Former Prime Minister Gordon Brown has been praising unique new facilties in Fife aimed at helping blind people to live independently in the community. The MP was at Elmwood College in Cupar to open Skiffington Cottage the first domestic style demonstration, assessment and rehabilititation unit of its kind in Scotland. Mr Brown, who's the honorary chairman of Fife Society for the Blind, also toured the college's Sensory Garden which allows blind and partially sighted people the chance to engage in garden activity. In other news; The first residents of a major regeneration development in Dundee have been handed the keys to their new homes.Three hundred houses are planned for the estate at Mill O Mains with the first 24 opening their doors this week. And in sport; St Johnstone boss Steve Lomas says he's PERPLEXED at landing a ONE match touchline ban.
